Futsal is FIFA’S Official Version of Indoor Soccer
The Akron Vulcans are a semi-professional futsal club that plays in the historic Goodyear Hall in Akron, Ohio. The game of futsal is played 5v5, indoors, on a hard surface court that is about 2.5 times the size of a basketball court. The game is very popular in South America, Central America, and in Europe. Futsal has been growing rapidly in the United States over the past couple years.
Season Outline
The Akron Vulcans play in the National Futsal Premier League (NFPL) which runs annually from December – April. The NFPL features teams from Chicago, Lansing, Grand Rapids, Indianapolis, Columbus, Detroit, and Ann Arbor.

2019/20 NFPL Season Schedule

The National Futsal Premier League (NFPL) was founded in 2018 in the effort to consolidate the many semi-pro and professional futsal leagues in the United States. The NFPL runs in the winter and spring months every year.
